Whether you’re looking to earn your degree or just grown in your faith, our classes are designed for you. All our courses can be taken either for credit or audited.

Core Courses

  • Course Description: The Old Testament covenant is more than historical pre-text to the New Testament, but contains numerous themes of importance in our Christian walk. Join us as we journey through the Old Testament and explore how the Old Testament affects both our view of the New Testament and our walk as Christians in the present day!

  • Course Description: This class allows the learners to enrich their knowledge of the New Testament and enhance their ability to read each part intelligently, with an understanding of the context in which each book occurs and of how doctrine evolved gradually over the centuries. With this knowledge, students can develop their ability to relate the Bible and its contents to daily life and Christian witness. Join us as we journey through the New Testament and explore all it has to teach us!

  • Course Description: This course is an introduction to basic hermeneutics, principles of biblical interpretation, and practical Bible research skills students will need in their theological education and lives and ministries. The student will develop foundational skills for Bible study, basic hermeneutics, biblical research, and paper writing for theological research.

  • Course Description: Bible Doctrines is a class designed for those who want a more thorough understanding of the major doctrines of the Bible.

    Each class will include a systematic teaching and discussion time and will cover doctrines such as the doctrine of man, the doctrine of God, the doctrine of the atonement and the doctrine of eternal states to name a few.

  • Course Description:
    The Word of God is the most important and incredible book anyone can study. It is the only book that can bring life to our lost and dying world. In this course, students will learn the tools and principles necessary to effectively and accurately interpret the Word of God.

    This course requires 4 prerequisite courses before it can be taken. Please make sure that you have completed the 4 following courses before registering:

  • Course Description:

    Preaching God's Word is a high honor. This course will focus on the art of sermon presentation. Students will study the points that pertain to the preparation of sermons as well as the practical application of presenting various types of sermons.

    IMPORTANT PREREQUISITE:
    This course requires 4 prerequisite courses before it can be taken. Please make sure that you have completed the 4 following courses before registering:

  • Course Description:

    What does it truly mean to know God and pursue a relationship with Him? Jesus said that those who were His friends, did what He commanded. How can we learn to be with Jesus, be like Jesus and do what Jesus did? This course will dive into some key practices that will teach just that. These practices include: Prayer & Fasting, Personal Bible Study, Baptism of the Holy Spirit & Hearing God’s Voice, Community, Radical Generosity, Serving, and Sharing the Gospel.

  • Course Description: Financial Peace University includes nine video lessons featuring Dave Ramsey, Rachel Cruze, and Chris Hogan. The class that teaches you how to pay off debt, save and build wealth! It will be hosted by Joy College!

    A subscription to FPU is required to participate in this course. Cost is: $99.99 or $119.99 with book. See subscription options in QR code or URL link for pricing options and inclusions.

Schedule & Pricing

  • Joy College Evening Program runs in 2 terms per year, Fall & Spring

    Fall Term: October-early December

    Spring Term: March-early May.

    Classes are on Thursday evenings, for 8 weeks each term.

    Classes run in two class periods:

    6:00pm-7:15pm

    7:30pm- 8:45pm

  • Full Credit:

    1 Class: $250 per term

    2 Classes: $400 per term

    Audit Only:

    (Lecture Only/No Credit)

    1 Class: $75 per term

    2 Classes: $125 per term

  • We offer childcare from 6:00 - 7:30pm for our Joy College Evening Program. Childcare is priced per child and must pay for the entire semester, regardless of whether each week you will require it.

    Childcare must be registered for in advance at least 1 week before the start of the semester.

    Pricing:

    $40 per child for entire 8 week semester

    $20 per additional child for 3+ children.

    If childcare is needed, please select it as an add on during registration and select how many children you need childcare for.
